지표면은 혜성 충돌 겨울로 뒤덮였지만, 얼음과 땅 아래에는 인류가 동면 중입니다. 젊은 견습 정비사인 당신은 어둠 속에서 깨어납니다. 발전소는 가동을 멈췄고, 정수 처리장도 마찬가지인 듯합니다. 동면인 거주지가 위험에 처했습니다!
스승의 렌치를 가지러 가는 단순한 심부름이 깊은 동굴과 광활한 눈바다를 넘나드는 험난한 여정으로 이어집니다. 친구와 적, 그리고 낯선 이들을 구하기 위해서죠.
여정 중에는 평범해 보이지만 각각 새로운 탐험 경로를 열어주는 8가지 도구를 발견하고 그 사용법을 익히게 됩니다. 처음에는 어둠 속 길을 밝히는 손전등과 어둠 속에 숨어 있는 것들을 상대할 렌치 검만 가지고 시작하지만, 게임이 끝나갈 무렵에는 점프, 드릴, 활공, 내리찍기, 대시 등 다양한 능력을 활용해 Ratcheteer의 세계를 누비게 됩니다.
기존에 흑백 Playdate용으로 출시되었던 이 게임은, 이번 업데이트를 통해 풀 컬러와 CD 품질의 스테레오 사운드트랙, 10개 언어 지원 등으로 새롭게 재탄생했습니다.
