Hey everyone! Let me give you a development update on Nomori. I don't have that many things to report. We're working steadily on finishing the game. The final stage feels like a near-endless marathon of going through levels one by one, adjusting checkpoints, directing cutscene camera shots, matching facial expressions to dialogue lines, preventing sequence-breaking of the story, testing save states, etc. You really feel the scope of your game at this point. After playtesting, iterating and cutting 6 levels because they weren't interesting or fun enough, we've ended up with 42 levels in the fin

0.1.56 Reworked the character Blobshadow to help with platforming. Before the drop shadow did not work on grass, which is a large part of the game. Also added blobshadows to Kodama and Ponta making them a lot more grounded in the world. Audiofixes for certain hardware. Before some people experienced jitters in the audio when too many audio sources played at once. We made adjustments to the amount of streamable sources and should now be less of an issue. Reworked the character dialogue camera framer. In the game you can have conversation from different angles sometimes leading to awkward camera

0.1.51 Added massive amount of UI on-boarding changes with certain button prompts appearing more center on screen when first learning new abilities or when interacting with certain characters for the first time. Improved the on-boarding for the fact that UI is often depicted in the top left corner. Fixed most sequencing issues in the dialogue in all the levels. Dialogue will now either disappear or not appear depending on if its still relevant. Fixed a reset time inconsistency around the bridge collapse where certain dialogue would keep repeating if though world lore wise it didn’t make any se

We’ve received a lot of useful feedback from players that helped us solve issues with progression, motion sickness, display settings and more. 0.1.46 Rewrote the CharacterCamera system to better handle collisions with walls, edge viewing, tight corners, low ceiling and camera interactions with the Portals. Overall fixes intended to alleviate nausea some people have been experiencing when playing. We will be closely monitoring and improving this, so please let us know if you have issues in this regard. Fixed jittering in certain camera collision edge cases.  Added the foundation to add camera setting such as FOV, obstructions sharpness, zoom sharpness, rotation sharpness, followpoint sharpness to menu settings in the next patch.
